Types of Non-Emergency Calls

Non-emergency calls address situations that require assistance but don’t need to go to the emergency department:

• Doctor appointments
• Transfers from the hospital (discharge, transfer from one hospital to another, transfer from the hospital to a step-down unit)
• Dialysis appointments
• Respite Care (going from home to a nursing home for a short time)
