EMERGENCY
Services
Whether it’s an emergency call, a local transfer, or a long-distance transfer within Oklahoma or the surrounding states, our professional and highly skilled medics are trained to handle all types of patient needs.
Primarily an emergency medical service, Muskogee County EMS has evolved to meet the needs of our community. We provide specialty services to our community through Critical Care inter-facility transports, Basic and Advanced Life Support transports, long distance transfers, the Disaster Medical Response Team, monthly CPR training that is open to the public, Fall Prevention Program and Special Event coverage.
Muskogee County EMS is an area leader in ventilator-support transportation. With our advanced portable ventilators, our paramedics can match the patient’s physician-prescribed settings to provide a continuum of care and allow the patient to better tolerate transport. Our crews also have IV pumps and can manage multiple intravenous fluids. Paramedics are the highest trained pre-hospital care providers and are skilled in advanced airway management, IV therapy, ECG and 12 lead monitoring, cardiac defibrillation/pacing, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), medication administration and monitoring, and other specialized procedures.
Muskogee County EMS is dedicated to providing consistent, compassionate, and clinically excellent service to our patients, customers, and communities.

911 Dispatch & Communication
Our Communications Center is more than a typical 9-1-1 intake and ambulance dispatch center. While the ambulance is on the way to you, the dispatchers are providing in essence a zero-minute response time. Instead of holding pressure on a wound or providing CPR directly, they skillfully instruct bystanders how to do these things over the phone.
Our team of medical professionals operate under the medical direction of the Muskogee County Emergency Service Medical Director, Dr. Gary Lambert.
We are located in the consolidated Muskogee City-County 911 Center. This allows our dispatchers to have improved and faster communications and coordination between multiple agencies.
